Hoyt is a fairly well-established name here in New York. Brooklyn even has a Hoyt Street, and there are two subway stations along it. It’s kinda fun to see our name popping up here and there! So below is a bunch of medium-quality digital imagery. :-)
First, the main Hoyt St subway station, at the north end of Hoyt St:
I go through the Hoyt-Schermerhorn station on my ride to work each day (yes, it’s somewhat dilapidated, though the poor lighting in my photo doesn’t help):
Hoyt St above ground is relatively pretty:
But in places, relatively strange (this sits just outside someone’s front apartment door):
One more photo — Hoyt Transportation Corporation, which is apparently some kind of school bus service:
Oh well, enough self-indulgent Hoytness for one day.

that’s my walk to work every day =) I love Hoyt Street by the Brooklyn Inn (a nice little bar) and the converted carriage house apartments. Brooklyn Market is nice too, often a lunch destination.
Nice to hear about something besides Hoyt cinemas…
